Royal Highland Show 2013, June 20th-23rd. May 2013
Be sure to pop by our stand this year at the Royal Highland Show - June 20-23. We will be in the food and drink hall with plenty of exciting offers and tasty treats to try. We are also running a Wee Willie Winkie drawing competition for the kids, which will keep them entertained on the car ride home. Prizes include an ipad Mini!
This year we are showcasing our Lairds Scottish smoked salmon, the Tarbert Fine Foods cooked meat range and our new family member Hall’s. We are also sponsoring the Cookery Theatre where top chefs will be cooking up delicious dishes with our world-famous Haggis, it’s a must-try.

Browns Food Group wins two top industry awards. March 2013
Browns Food Group, one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, has received two Gold awards at the BPEX Foodservice Pork Product of the Year 2013 competition.
The awards, which recognise outstanding innovation, product quality and excellence, announced that Freedom Foods Honey Roast Ham had won Best Cured Product, whilst Freedom Foods Sliced Pork Sage and Onion Stuffing had won Best Innovative Pork Product.
BPEX foodservice trade manager, Tony Goodger, said:
“We were incredibly impressed with the standard of entries this year. It is fantastic to see that the sector is constantly striving to innovate and make the most of Quality Assured pork.
“The variation in product entries shows that as well as being a firm favourite with diners, pork is an incredibly versatile meat, being combined with ingredients such as stout and honey, pickled walnut and pecans. It was also nice to see that the humble pork scratching – one of favourite bar snacks – got a look in!”

Hall’s to stay in Scotland. January 2013
Hall’s has been acquired by Browns Food Group (Browns) from its Dutch owner Vion - it was announced today (Wednesday January 30) In acquiring the Hall’s brand, created by David A Hall in 1932, Browns, established in 1885, has effectively merged two of Scotland’s oldest family owned food businesses.
The move by Browns, which is headquartered in Kirkconnel, Dumfriesshire, will see the retention of the Hall’s production in Scotland, and the van sales operation will continue to operate throughout Scotland. Fifty Hall’s employees will be retained in that area. Browns Finance Director Alan Hill said:
“We are very pleased to have secured the future of one of Scotland’s best known brands, and to have brought it safely under private Scottish ownership. It is especially fitting that we agreed the deal so close to Burns Night, as Hall’s is one of the world’s largest suppliers of haggis.
“We intend to invest heavily in the Hall’s brand, and we will preserve and increase its reputation by offering food that is both good quality and good value. This will also lead to job creation and security going forward.”

The award-winning Browns Food Group has revealed their new Group Marketing Manager. January 2013
Brand strategist Sara Roberts will take on the role for the multi-disciplinary food manufacturing organisation. With 20 years international experience gained within management consultancy and agency environments, Sara will be bringing fresh, original ideas at an exciting time for Browns as they continue to develop innovative food products.
Sara has spent the last four years consulting across a range of sectors; FMCG, luxury products and services, hospitality, floriculture, retail, third sector and consumer goods. She will now be using her expertise to deliver effective brand, marketing and communications strategy for Browns Food Group.
Browns previously won BPEX Food Service Pork Product of the Year Competition 2012 for their boneless pork ribs. Sister company Mostell Seafood has also recently released MSC approved Breaded and Battered Coated Fish for the service industry, another product which is bound to turn heads. New product development is an integral part of the company’s continued growth and Sara joins the team as they continue to work on new and exciting product development ideas.

BBC Good Food Show. October 2011
After the success of the TMA range at the Highland Show we took them to the
BBC Good Food Show this year. They loved them and even better we were
able to sell the retail packs this time as well as the hot tubs. See packs below
which will be available in Sainsbury's from March 2012

Salmon received some great feedback, we sold out again!

Great show this year!! Our biggest stand yet at the Highland Show.
For the first time at a trade show we sold hot food from our Take Me Away
range, which includes Sweet Chilli Boneless Ribs, Hickory Ribs, Hot & Spicy Chicken Wing and Salt & Pepper Wings went down a storm! We had great feedback from the public, who loved the product, the queues spoke for themselves.

International Food Exhibition 2011. ExCel London. March 13 - 16
Well that's it by for another year!! We had a fantastic show, right at the front of the hall, putting us in a prime location which meant there was no ignoring us!
It was a great opportunity to showcase all our brands and new products, especially the new Scotti and Take Me Away products, both ranges received some great compliments and will hopefully generate a lot of new business.
Thanks to everyone that put in the long slog to make this show a great success!

The largest event of it's kind in the UK was a great success this year for Browns Food Group. The 4 day event allowed the entire group to showcase the huge product range we have as well as our brand new stand.
